Cultural agent – Summer job

Job description

The cultural agent will reach out to the Montreal community through cultural activities in fields such as theater, dance, poetry, music and painting.

 

Tasks to be performed

• Set up a variety of cultural activities, taking into account the needs and particularities of each audience.
• Promote and actively participate in activities offered by the organization
• Any requests from the immediate supervisor relating to the position

 

Profile required

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age for the duration of the contract
• Must be authorized to work in Canada (Canadian residency/citizenship or refugee status REQUIRED)
• A keen interest in the arts, culture and diversity
• Good command of French
• Good adaptability
• Ability and ease of working with audiences of all ages (especially youth, early childhood and seniors)
• Good understanding of English and Creole an asset
• Training in cultural mediation an asset
• Artists with no work experience welcome!

 

Salary

18/hour, negotiable depending on experience

 

Job status: 8-week contract, between June and August.
Full-time, 30 hours per week, no fixed schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Workplace: Saint-Léonard, Montréal
