Witnessing the benefits of diversity, the Compagnie Théâtre Créole has set up the Festithéâtrecréole during Montreal’s Mois du Créole, an event that takes into account all Creole cultures, through plays, staged readings, humor, poetry, talks and more!

The festival was set up to encourage young Creole-speakers to make theater that reflects their ancestral culture, as well as mixing with Canadian culture.
After last year’s virtual edition, the Festithéâtrecréole is back with a hybrid edition that’s as accessible as it is dynamic. This year’s theme is Mwen se kreyòl nan divèsite a, which means We are Creole in diversity. There are many Creoles. Each one has its own specific language and culture to celebrate.

The Festithéâtrecréole is :
- 3 editions
- 5,000 indoor participants
- 4,000 users reached on Facebook
- Over 25,000 people reached online for the 2nd edition
- A group of over 50 organizations whose members actively participate in the festival
- 50 volunteers between the ages of 15 and 70
In addition to this festival, the Compagnie Théâtre Créole offers the Festival Théâtre Communauté des Noirs. This festival takes place every year around March. Follow us on Facebook for all the details.
