Journalist, political scientist, poet and teacher, Jean Emmanuel Pierre appreciates culture from all angles. He is co-founder and general coordinator of Productions Quat’Chimen. He has published a trilogy on exile and rootedness(Blues à deux voies, À mes risques et paroles and Confidences à voix haute), followed by Dits vagabonds. He has also published a historical account of relations between Haiti and the United States: L’enlèvement de l’ambassadeur américain Clinton Knox. A former editor-in-chief of the well-known Radio Haïti-Inter, he now heads the newsroom at CPAM radio.

Jean Emmanuel Pierre likes to get involved in his community. For nearly 10 years, he was a member of the Conseil interculturel de Montréal and a member of the Quebec Regional Council of Correctional Service Canada. He also works with a number of community organizations.
